A 4-year-old vandal has been caught on CCTV
keying a car in broad daylight as he walked past the vehicle on the
street. David Draper, 37, was horrified when he watched the footage of
the child vandalising his car on Pinehurst Avenue, Waterloo.
The boy, who Mr Draper believes to be four or five, vandalised his car on Mother’s Day at about 2pm, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The dad-of-two said: “A young boy scratched my car in the street and was
seemingly allowed to do so. I don’t know who they are. I knocked on the
doors of my neighbours and have discovered their cars have also been
damaged as well. I’m hoping I’ll be able to just paint over it but it’s
still damaged. I don’t recognise the older boy or any of the children.
“I’ve lived here for five years, it’s a nice area. Nothing like this has happened before.”
The footage shows an older male, possibly in his mid to late teens,
with his hood up walking in front with a girl of about nine and another
boy of about six or seven. Trailing behind them is the youngest child,
who in the footage looks around quickly before sliding a key along the
vehicle.
