When Krystina Butel decided to get a caricature done on holiday, she never thought she would spend the next fifteen years trying to emulate it.

Krystina, 30, has spent over £130,000 on plastic surgery to transform herself into a £10 cartoon drawing of herself that she posed for in Ibiza when she was just 15.

This has included five breast augmentations, lip injections, botox, teeth whitening and semi-permanent make-up. Salon owner Krystina even has heart-shaped nipples to complete the 'cartoon' look.

The making of her: The salon owner, pictured left, aged 14 and, right, aged 15, said of the caricature that changed her life: 'I was only a teenager and was still finding myself. The caricature led me in the direction that I wanted to go down' Transformation: Krystina Butel, 30, had her caricature done of herself when she was 15 on holiday in Ibiza and then spent £100,000 on plastic surgery to look exactly like the cartoon drawing
Krystina from Wakefield, West Yorkshire said: 'When I saw the caricature for the first time on holiday, I was jealous of it. She was so glamorous. She was everything that I wanted to be.

'It was like she was holding the carrot out to me, showing me what I could be.
'Over the years, I've spent more and more on beauty treatments and surgery so I can look just like her.'

Despite having spent a fortune already, Krystina is still obsessed with looking like the drawing.
She now plans to have an eyebrow lift and bottom implants as well as further breast augmentations, botox, fillers and lip implants so she can resemble the artwork even more.

'My caricature keeps me going with my dream. She looks exactly how I want to look like. I know I'm closer to it now than I was fifteen years ago but there's always something else I can get in terms of surgery to be more like it.

'I can always rely on my caricature to show me what I need to do next. I never think that I'm done for good with my plastic surgery. She shows me that there's never enough. As she was: Krystina, pictured as a child before her transformation, said that her friends and family have accepted her love of plastic surgery and supported her decision Krystina Butel from Wakefield, Yorkshire, when she was 11-years-old
Growing up, Krystina was a playful tomboy who showed no interest in her appearance.

She said: 'As a child, I was never girly. I wore dungarees all the time. I loved doing boyish things like digging and playing outside.

'I had three brothers and was the only girl in the family, so my mum would try to make me look pretty. But I would just rip the ribbons out my hair and destroy my dress.'

At the age of fourteen, Krystina left school early and got a job at a local salon as a hairdresser and began to pay more attention to her looks.
'At the salon, I began experimenting with hair extensions and make-up. I used to model various styles for the customers. But I had never considered plastic surgery or anything like that.'

When she turned fifteen, Krystina went on holiday to Ibiza with an older friend and her children. She had no idea how fateful the two-week vacation would prove to be. She explained: 'It was only meant to be a little, relaxing break. I was going with my friend and her two kids so we didn't have any wild partying planned.

'It was more like a family vacation. I just wanted to unwind and get away from it all.'
It was towards the end of the holiday, whilst taking a casual stroll through Ibiza, that Krystina got the caricature done.

She said: 'My friend and I were walking down a busy, main street and this old man was sat there doing drawings of people.

'He shouted us over to ask if we wanted to get our caricatures done and we agreed.
'It was a completely impulsive decision, I'd never really thought about getting my caricature drawn before.
'I just figured it would be a nice souvenir of my holiday. I didn't expect it to be so life-changing.'
